Checking the water supply to your Indesit appliance
Have a look at our easy step by step guide showing you how to check the water supply to your Indesit appliance, helping to prevent an unnecessary breakdown.
Hello my name’s Alan. I am a senior technician with Indesit company. I have over fifteen years experience helping customers with their tumble dryers. At Indesit Company we design and manufacture our appliances to provide many trouble free years of service to our customers, but there also a few things you can do yourself to help ensure your appliance operates to its full potential or to help resolve any common user issues.
This film covers how to deal with your washing machine not filling with water when it is switched on. That can also apply to washer dryers and dishwasher. This could happen to a new machine or an existing one.
How you will know there’s a problem - If your appliance has a digital display, an error code will be displayed. Please refer to the handbook which explains common faul display codes. If you don’t have a digital display in your appliance and machine is powered on, it won’t appear to fill and will also make a faint humming noise.
What you will need to rectify the issue - A plastic bowl.
What to do - Step 1. Check water supply is turned on. Step2. If water supply is tuned on and you are sill experiencing problem, please turn the water supply off to the appliance. Then remove the fill hose from the rear of the appliance and run it into a plastic bowl. Step 3. Check hoses aren’t kinked, straighten if they are. Step 4. Restart the program.
If you’re still experiencing problems please refer to your user handbook which can also be downloaded from the user handbook section of our website.
Remember spares can also be obtained from our website as well as care products for a range of kitchen appliances.
Recap - Test you have a water supply to your appliance, as already mentioned in this video. If still experiencing problems, check the fill hoses are not kinked. Restart program.
